Sergio & Bacchus WC. Sultanahmet, Istanbul, 2009. This forgotten bit is all that's left of the 4th-century precursor to Kucuk Ayasofya. It was a tall portal rising about fifteen feet above the water. Now it sticks out of the grass on the harbor fill, surrounded by picnicking families in summer and sheltering homeless in winter, not a bad fate for a religious relic.
